Canada has around 900,000 Postal Codes and there are currently 338 Canadian Federal Electoral Districts – also known as Ridings. These districts are geographical divisions of the country that are represented by a member of Parliament. In other words, each district has a corresponding seat in the House of Commons. This product pairs each Canada Postal Code with its corresponding Canadian Federal Electoral District.
Canadian Federal Electoral District boundaries are adjusted every 10 years based on population changes that are determined in each 10-year census count. In 2024, GreatData began mapping the latest districts to Canada Postal Codes based on our own geospatial data. We stay knowledgeable of any Canada Post or governmental changes and adjust accordingly throughout the year.
